The 16th International Colloquium on Plasma Processes (CIP 07) will be held in Toulouse from June 04th to June 08th, 2007.
The CIP 07 steering committee chose Toulouse as being the Centre of aeronautics and spatial industries in Europe.
Toulouse reveals its multiple appeals, in addition to the strong character of rugby, the charm of the Canal du Midi, and the area's gastronomy: confit, foie gras, and cassoulet, accompanied by excellent regional Gaillac or Fronton wines. For holidays, before and/or after CIP, several places are attractive around Toulouse: the Mediterranean surroundings on the South-East, the Pyrenees on the South-, the Tarn, Aveyron and Lot Rivers with famous Gorges on the North-East.
Before CIP 07, three half days (June 4-5) will be dedicated to courses on plasma science and technology.
CIP 07 is organised by the French Vacuum Society (SFV) and will be coupled on the same site, with the SFV exhibition on Vacuum Equipments (Vide 2007 – June 6-7).
Plasma process is more and more applied in all industrial activities (classical and also new micro and nanotechnologies) for the preparation of functional materials (polymers, metals). An important part of the colloquium will be focused on the life science, where plasma cleaning and sterilisation are sharply progressing.
All the scientific and technologic improvements are possible to do with the continuous progress in production of plasma sources, plasma reactors and with full knowledge of plasma process.
