Thankfully nobody from the SFV team has been affected by the terrorist attacks that hit Paris on November 13th.
We will be present in Nancy on Monday, November 16th for the Opening of the short courses
and then ITFPC'15 Conference for 3.5 days.

Considering the information we have, disruptions are expected, but few flights and trains will be canceled.
The controls are strengthened but foreigners will enter and leave France without trouble.

We will probably have more information by Monday, November 16th.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Nancy.

We honor the memory of the victims and express our solidarity with their families and friends.

The programme is now available here! Don't wait to register.

The 7th  international conference on Innovations in Thin Film Processing and Characterization ITFPC'15, jointly  organized  by  the  SFV  and  the  IJL, will be held in few month and the detailed program is now setted on: for 3,5 days. 40 oral communications distributed in 9 sessions and 76 poster presentations from more than 25 countries.

Preceding the conference, short courses will  cover  different  aspects  of  thin  film  science  and  technology in connection with the conference.

The industrial exhibition will also be running alongside the conference (Wed. & Thu.) where delegates will find the opportunity to exchange with manufacturing and service companies who present their products, equipments and/or services.

Over  the  past  years,  the  continuously  growing  interest  in  thin  film  growth,  processing  and applications has provoked strong academic and industrial activity resulting in great progress in research, development and functionalization of surfaces. Thus, this area appears to underlie great potential applications in the fields of microelectronics, nanotechnology, mechanics, optics, photonics, chemistry, biology and medicine.

Besides the scientific topics covered by the conference, this event aims at providing an open forum  to  discuss  on  progresses  and  latest  developments  in  thin  film  processing  and engineering  including  nano-layer  growth  and  properties,  surface  functionalization,  etching, CVD and PVD processes. Participants should underline the state of the art in their field notably indicating  the  recent  scientific  and  technological  achievements  in  thin  film  deposition, characterization, surface treatment, or applications.

Invited plenary lectures will provide an overview on each scientific topic while keynotes, oral and poster contributions will focus on particular cutting-edge aspects of thin film science and technology.

ITFPC'15 rises as the high-technology meeting playing, as in the previous editions, the catalyst role for efficient exchanges between the academic and industrial fields contributing thus to technological transfers.
